BMW smashes through windows of KFC

Four people were injured and one person died on Monday night when a car left the road and collided with a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, going through the glass windows. It is not clear if the victims were passengers or customers in the restaurant, or what happened to the driver. Witnesses told a local news station that the car appeared to be driving at about 100 mph when the driver lost control. According to the local fire department, the injuries of the four individuals were minor.

Although little is known at this time about the direct causes of the accident, high speeds are often evidence of reckless driving. Other common factors include distraction and drug or alcohol use. There are no allegations of either in this case.

Unsafe speed suspected in crash that left three dead on Tuesday

Police continue to investigate possible causes of a car crash that happened earlier this week near Dana Point, California. The Dodge Stratus collided with a tree around 2:00 am, after the driver apparently lost control of the car. There were four people in the car at the time, and the driver is the only survivor.

According to the local sheriff's department, all of the people in the car were active duty marines serving at Camp Pendleton near San Diego. While the accident and causes are still under investigation, police believe that unsafe speed was a main factor. Depending on the results of the investigation, family members of the victims may be able to recover for wrongful death from the driver.

Unlicensed driver claims three lives in California

Police say an unlicensed driver is to blame for the death of three women last week. The driver had five passengers at about 2:45am when she slammed into a tree, injuring everyone in the car. The driver remains in critical condition and has not been arrested. Police say that they found alcohol in the car. Precise causes are not known at this time.

The driver was pulled over by the highway patrol and issued a ticket last month for driving without a license, but her car was not impounded. There has been controversy recently about this policy after several fatal accidents involving unlicensed drivers. The families of the victims of this accident may be eligible to file a wrongful death suit.

Inexperienced San Francisco Bus Driver Not to Blame for Fatal Pedestrian Accident?

Last August, a 23-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed while in the crosswalk at Hartford and 18th Streets. The driver of the San Francisco Municipal Railway bus that hit the woman has been charged with misdemeanor vehicular homicide in connection with her death.

The bus driver was making a left hand turn onto Hartford Street when the fatal pedestrian accident occurred. The driver had been on the job for only eight months before the crash. It was reported that he didn't even realize he had hit a pedestrian until another person started screaming. The victim had been texting while walking and did not see the bus coming toward her as she crossed the narrow street.

The tragic San Francisco, California pedestrian accident may have been avoidable had the bus driver received proper direction and training from the MUNI Railway system. The driver was not on his normal route and, according to his criminal defense attorney, was not properly advised as to where to travel and how to get there.

Bus/minivan crash leaves one person dead

No students were injured but one of the two drivers died in a crash between a minivan and a school bus earlier this week. The accident took place in the morning on the way to school. Police said that the victim was turning left in her minivan when she struck the school bus. The other driver and passengers all appear to be uninjured, although several sought medical attention as a precaution. Currently, there is no evidence indicating the specific cause of the bus crash.

Collisions with larger vehicles, such as buses or semi trucks, can be very dangerous for regular cars. Auto accidents are the leading cause of accidental wrongful death. Wrongful death suits can be filed in cases where the family of the victim of an accidental death involving negligence decides to seek payment for their loss. Compensation generally includes payment to cover funeral expenses, medical bills or lost future income.
